The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Specialty Doctor (SAS Grade) in Acute Internal Medicine to support the Urgent Care service in the North West.

This locum opportunity offers a fixed-term placement from 09 November 2026 to 15 January 2027, providing the chance to work within a busy Acute Medicine service delivering high-quality care to acutely unwell patients.

You will join an established multidisciplinary team within the Urgent Care Department, supporting the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients while contributing to safe, effective, and timely patient care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality care within an Acute Internal Medicine setting.
• Assess, investigate, and manage acutely unwell medical patients.
• Support day-to-day clinical operations within the Urgent Care service.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing staff, allied health professionals, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with Trust and NHS standards.
• Identify, elevate, and manage clinical concerns appropriately.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, effective, and patient-centred clinical environment.
• Support service delivery within a fast-paced acute care setting.

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Recent UK NHS experience within Acute Internal Medicine.
• Previous experience working at Specialty Doctor or equivalent SAS grade level.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
• Mandatory: Completion of DCS training prior to commencing work at the Trust.
