The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Acute Medicine Consultant to support a service in the North West of England.

This locum opportunity offers a structured weekday working pattern, providing consistent work within a busy acute hospital environment. You will be joining an established clinical team within Acute Medicine, supporting the assessment, management, and treatment of acutely unwell adult patients while contributing to the safe and effective delivery of care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality acute medical care to adult patients presenting with a wide range of conditions
• Assess, diagnose, and develop management plans for patients within the Acute Medicine service
• Support patient flow through the acute pathway and assist with timely clinical decision-making
• Work collaboratively with consultants, junior doctors, nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
• Provide senior clinical leadership and supervision where appropriate
• Contribute to a safe, effective, and patient-focused clinical environment

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration
• Relevant recent UK NHS experience within Acute Medicine
• Previous experience working at Consultant level
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and professionalism
• Valid Right to Work in the UK
