Philanthropy Manager (Major Donors)

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK wide charity dedicated to uniting for a life unlimited for everyone affected by cystic fibrosis. We are working towards a brighter future for everyone with CF by funding cutting edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
We're seeking a skilled high value fundraiser to help deliver our major donor programme for 12 months to cover maternity leave arrangements in the team. The role comes with the opportunity to line manage one direct report. The position is based in Central London, England (Hybrid), part time (28 hr) and contract (12 month). Salary: FTE £40,000 plus £3,000 London Weighting or £450 home allowance per year.
Key responsibilities:
- Grow income through your own portfolio of high net worth individuals, cultivating new relationships and stewarding existing supporters.
- Support the delivery of the major donor fundraising strategy to raise substantial donations in line with agreed income targets.
- Provide excellent donor stewardship by crafting high quality proposals, coordinating high value events and shaping supporter communications.
- Explore new ways to engage donors, for example by helping to launch our new Giving Circle.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Trust to maximise opportunities for donor engagement.
Qualifications and experience:
• Experience of securing major gifts and a strong track record in high value fundraising.
• Familiarity with donor databases/CRM and ideally experience supporting the delivery of a major donor strategy.
• UK based role; flexible location; if London office based, a minimum of 40% working hours per week in the office required. If home based (within the UK), regular travel to London office needed.
