ABOUT THE FIRM

My client is an integrated professional services group that brings wealth management, tax and legal advice together under one roof. That matters here. You won't be working in a tax silo. You'll sit alongside wealth planners and lawyers who look after the same families, so the advice is joined up and clients tend to stay for the long haul.

THE ROLE

This is a compliance-led Tax Manager role with your own portfolio of high net worth clients. You'll review and manage returns, keep a firm grip on deadlines, and be the person HMRC deals with when something needs sorting. There's some advisory project work too, but the heart of the job is making sure complex compliance is done properly and clients get excellent service.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Managing a portfolio of HNW personal tax clients and owning those relationships
• Reviewing returns to a high standard and spotting the issues others might miss
• Leading on HMRC correspondence and enquiries
• Developing junior team members through review, feedback and coaching
• Working closely with the wealth team on shared clients
• Picking up ad hoc advisory projects alongside senior management
• Keeping an eye on time, billing and recovery across your portfolio

WHO THIS WILL SUIT

• CTA qualified or part-qualified, plus ATT
• At least five years in personal tax, ideally with HNW clients
• Confident reviewing complex returns and running your own client list
• Able to explain technical points clearly, to clients and juniors alike
• CCH experience is a bonus, as is an interest in AI-enabled tax tools
