Personal Injury Case Handler

  • Location: Bristol (Hybrid - 2 days in office)
  • Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Case Handler to join our client's claimant injury department. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of injury claims, including those involving vulnerable road users and minor to moderate head injury claims. The successful candidate will enjoy a balance of office and home working, contributing to our commitment to delivering high-quality legal services. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A LAW FIRM WORKING ON A PERSONAL INJURY LITIGATION CASELOAD. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Efficiently and effectively manage your own caseload of personal injury claims.
  • Pursue claims up to a value of £25,000 through and outside of the MOJ Portal, including pre and post-litigation stages, utilising our case management system.
  • Ensure compliance with agreed service standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, expert witnesses, and solicitors.
  • Participate in weekly risk assessment meetings.
  • Manage client expectations and address any complaints in line with company policy.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience handling a claimant injury caseload.
  • Familiarity with MOJ Portal processes and claims allocated to the Fast Track.
  • Experience in litigation, including the issue of proceedings and compliance with Court Directions through to Trial.
  • Proficient in using a Case Management System.
  • Ability to work to strict Service Level Agreements and handle claims including litigation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and legal research skills.
  • Organisational and prioritisation abilities.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Law degree, CILEx, or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
