The PositionAn exciting opportunity has arisen within the Primary Care Department for a Personal Assistant to join the Public Dental Services team.
The post holder will provide a high level of personal assistant support to the Director of Dentistry along with providing a comprehensive administrative support to the Public Dental Service. Ensuring the delivery of an effective, efficient and quality service at all times.
The CandidateYou will be required to have a recognised qualification in HNC Business Administration, or SVQ Level 3 in Administration, or have significant equivalent experience.
The post holder will be conversant with office procedures and be experienced in the use of Microsoft Office packages, have excellent communication and organisational skills, and be able to handle a diverse workload.
Location, Working Pattern and Contract DurationThis post will be based at The Balfour.
Successful candidate will work Part Time 27 hours per week.
Fixed-Term for 12 months due to substantive postholder return from maternity leave.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NHS Orkney.
Benefits and SalaryThe salary for this post is Band 4 and if residing on Orkney, you'll also receive a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,719 pro rata per annum, adding extra value to your rewarding career with us.
