Job Description
Performing Arts Teacher job - day to day/ongoing - to start ASAP To start ASAP Day to day/ongoing work Teaching Performing Arts to KS3 and KS4 Leicester-based Secondary School
You must have relevant experience working with 11 - 16 year olds within the last 2 years and we must be able to obtain relevant references for this time. You should have a professional manner and a flexible attitude to working and timetable changes. Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic, engaging and passionate about working with young people. Strong behaviour management and the ability to implement schools' behaviour polices is also essential. To be successful, you will be a Qualified Teacher (ECT's welcome to apply) and have recent experience of teaching Performing Arts across Key Stage 3 and 4.
Job Description:
Delivering engaging and creative Performing Arts lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. Supporting, advising, guiding and supervising students throughout the school day. Supporting Performing Arts classes in the absence of the timetabled staff/teacher. Delivering the cover work established in the absence of the teacher. To have a primary focus on maintaining good order and ensuring students are on task so that learning can take place.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply. Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts or related field. Recent experience teaching Performing Arts at secondary school level. Strong behaviour/classroom management. The ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
