Performance Reporting & Analytics Manager

What you'll be doingYou'll guide a team of five Reporting Analysts, playing a key role in how we show, understand and share business performance across Wessex Water. Your work will ensure company data is correct, well-managed, insightful and easy to access, helping teams make informed choices every day.
You will:
- guide, mentor and develop a team of five Performance Reporting Analysts, managing workload, skill growth and quality of work
- handle reporting and analytics needs, being the main contact for understanding needs and creating quality, scalable reports using QlikView, Power BI and Excel
- provide insights and analysis to help important decision-making, while encouraging the use of reporting tools through training, help and engagement
- manage data quality, governance and compliance, ensuring data is checked, well-handled and meets privacy, security and GDPR rules
- improve company-wide data understanding through teamwork, stakeholder engagement and promotion of clear data standards
- work with IT and other teams to create new data solutions, represent Reporting & Analytics in meetings and stand in for the Asset Data & Reporting Manager
- shape reporting strategy and future skills, guiding data-driven problem-solving and finding ways to simplify processes and improve insights.
You'll be an experienced analytics expert with good leadership skills and a drive to improve things using data.
Ideal skills and experience include:
- good experience in handling, analysing and showing data
- BI tools (QlikView, Power BI) and advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)
- the ability to understand complex data and explain it clearly to both technical and non-technical people
- experience guiding reporting or analytics teams
- knowledge of company processes, data governance, GDPR and reporting best practice
- experience delivering reporting or data-driven change projects
- technical qualification in Engineering, Science, Maths or related subject (HNC/HND minimum, degree/Postgraduate preferred).
