Cardiff Council's Specialist Housing service offers a range of accommodation and support services to individuals and families living in Cardiff which include Cardiff Supported Living, Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation, Housing First & Community Living, Managed and Supported Accommodation for older people, young adults, single people and families.

About the job

As a Performance & Monitoring Officer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining robust performance monitoring systems that support informed decision-making across the organization. This position requires a proactive individual who can design frameworks to track and evaluate operational effectiveness, ensuring that performance data is accurate, timely, and actionable. You will work closely with various teams to identify key performance indicators, implement monitoring tools, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, including proficiency in SharePoint, Excel, and Power BI, and the ability to analyse large and complex data sets to uncover trends and insights. You will be responsible for creating clear, comprehensive reports and presenting findings to senior management, translating data into meaningful recommendations. This role demands attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the confidence to communicate complex information in a clear and engaging way.

What We Are Looking For From You

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a proven ability to design and implement performance monitoring systems that drive operational excellence. You should have solid technical expertise in SharePoint, Excel, and Power BI, coupled with the capability to manage and interpret large, complex data sets. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to transform data into clear, actionable insights are essential.

You will need excellent communication skills to present findings confidently to senior management and influence decision-making.
