Job Description

People and Wellbeing Advisor - £37,855 per annum

Warrington, Cheshire (Remote) Are you someone who enjoys helping managers handle challenging people matters with confidence and care?

Making Space is a values led organisation supporting communities across the UK, and we are looking for a People and Wellbeing Advisor to join our friendly People Services team.

The role: This is a 10 month fixed term opportunity (maternity cover), with potential to extend. Based at our Warrington Head Office, you will benefit from a hybrid approach, combining home working with time on site.

In this role, you will work closely with managers and colleagues, offering practical advice and support across a range of people matters while helping to build a positive and supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clear, practical People advice to managers
  • Manage a varied caseload including disciplinary, grievance, capability, ill health and performance matters
  • Support managers through formal processes, including difficult conversations and outcomes
  • Assist with consultation activity, including redundancy and organisational change
  • Support more complex activities such as TUPE and restructuring
  • Encourage wellbeing, engagement and positive working relationships
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR and internal policies
  • Support audits, reporting and ongoing improvements
  • Visit services when needed to offer hands on support
