People & Culture Advisor 12-month contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced People & Culture Advisor to join a dynamic and fast-paced organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will provide comprehensive HR advisory, generalist, and administrative support, partnering with leaders and employees across multiple business areas.
Working as part of the wider People & Culture team, the successful candidate will support a range of people initiatives and processes, collaborating with internal specialist functions including Employee Services, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition. The role will also involve building strong relationships with stakeholders across the UK and wider international regions.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a first point of contact for managers on a broad range of employee matters.
- Manage employee relations cases from start to finish, including sickness absence, performance management, conduct, disciplinary matters, and grievances.
- Partner with shared service teams to facilitate headcount changes and organisational updates, ensuring job descriptions, organisational charts, and related documentation remain accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate HR administration activities, including work experience programmes, purchase orders, invoices, and HR system transactions.
- Support senior leaders with organisational change initiatives and business-as-usual people processes.
- Collaborate with wider People & Culture teams to ensure a seamless employee experience and effective delivery of HR services.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Proven experience within an HR Advisor or People Advisor role.
- Strong employee relations expertise and confidence managing a variety of casework independently.
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience working within a fast-paced, matrixed environment and the ability to navigate ambiguity effectively.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience using HR systems, ideally Workday.
This position operates on a hybrid working model, combining both office-based and remote working. Specific arrangements will be agreed with the successful candidate and line manager, in line with business requirements and company policy.
