People Advisory Partner

Overview

People Advisory Partner located in Royston (requires regular travel across the South of the UK) at Johnson Matthey, a company with over 200 years of history focused on accelerating the transition to net zero. In this role you will provide HR advisory support to managers and lead local implementation of organizational change initiatives, ensuring priorities are embedded effectively, risks managed, and managers equipped to lead their teams through transition.

Responsibilities

• Lead local implementation of organizational change initiatives (e.g., design changes, performance frameworks, engagement programmes).
• Partner with managers to cascade and embed change plans effectively.
• Manage complex employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence).
• Provide expert HR advice on policy interpretation and escalation of high risk cases.
• Act as a bridge between enterprise frameworks and local execution, ensuring joined up delivery with People Operations and Business Partners.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of local employment law and HR practices.
• Proven experience in HR advisory or employee relations roles.
• Demonstrated experience implementing organizational change locally.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; pragmatic and solutions focused.
• Ability to travel regularly across the South of the UK.
