People Advisor
3-month FTC (Fixed-Term Contract)
As a People Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience, acting as a trusted advisor for people related queries and collaborating with Senior People Partners to help our Magic Office employees do their best work.
Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations advice for all Magic Office employees and managers, providing comprehensive advice and guidance in line with current legislation, best practice and Company policies and procedures.
- Advise and coach managers across the full employee lifecycle, including but not limited to family leave, probation, performance management, absence, salary, and promotion queries, working collaboratively with the wider People team.
- Actively manage all absence and long-term sickness, ensuring the correct process is consistently followed and all appropriate follow up actions are taken.
- Balance legal risk, employee experience, and commercial considerations when advising on ER matters, consistently influencing outcomes that are fair, proportionate, and aligned to business objectives.
- Interpret employment legislation to aid the implementation and review of policies and procedures, ensuring all policies and procedures are up to date.
- Work in collaboration with the Senior People Partners to conduct quarterly data reviews, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and contributing to proactive people planning and decision making.
- Monitor engagement levels and make recommendations for targeted action planning within your business area.
- Lead and contribute to small scale people initiatives that improve capability, engagement or effectiveness across the business.
- Support the delivery and cascade of learning and development initiatives, facilitating sessions where appropriate.
- Be a cultural ambassador across the business and always have a positive impact on our people and our culture.
- Act as a guardian and a role model for our brand values, ensuring that you embrace the challenge, disrupt and innovate, win together and share the magic in all that you do.
- 2-5 years of experience as an HR Advisor within a retail business.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize workload effectively.
- Enjoy working in a fast paced, exciting and ever changing environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Pro active, innovative, collaborative.
- Methodical, logical and calm under pressure.
- Thrives on working in a collaborative and innovative environment.
- CIPD Qualified preferred.
- Demonstrable interest in working within beauty is preferred.
