About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and inspiring PE Specialist to teach physical education across the whole school, from Early Years through to Year 8, promoting a lifelong love of sport, fitness, and physical wellbeing.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a vibrant and inclusive PE and games programme and will contribute actively to the academic, pastoral, and co curricular life of the school. This is an exciting opportunity to join the school at a time of significant development in sport, including the introduction of a new sports science curriculum and the opening of new facilities, such as a fitness suite and a sports simulation suite, which will further enhance teaching, training, and enrichment.
This is a permanent, full time position with a proposed start date in the new academic year in September 2026.

Who We Are Looking ForEssential
- A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a closely related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching PE across a range of ages, ideally from Early Years to Key Stage 3.
- A passion for inspiring pupils to enjoy sport and physical activity.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable
- Experience within an independent or preparatory school.
- Experience coaching a range of sports and leading competitive fixtures.
- Experience preparing pupils for senior school sport and scholarships.
- Strength or experience in netball coaching.
- Interest or experience in teaching sports science or related disciplines.
- Enthusiasm for extracurricular sport, trips, and the wider life of the school.
