Posted 6 hours 39 minutes ago by ProTalent Limited
Eastbourne Part-time or full-time From 14.50 per hour, negotiable for experience (around 31k full-time equivalent)
A long-established firm of chartered accountants in Eastbourne, with a loyal and varied client base built up over many years. The team is small, friendly and office-based. It is the sort of practice where people tend to stay, because they like the work and the people they do it with.
The roleYou would take on the day-to-day running of the payroll bureau, supported by a payroll manager who reviews your work. There is real ownership here, but you are never thrown in on your own.
It can be shaped two ways. As a part-time role of around 25 hours a week, purely payroll. Or as a full-time role that blends payroll with bookkeeping and wider accounts, roughly two-thirds payroll and one-third everything else. Some weeks, around month end, are all payroll. Others lean more towards the books.
The bureau runs on BrightPay, with around 200 clients on weekly and monthly cycles. The bookkeeping side is on Xero.
