  • Several years of hands on experience in UK payroll compliance, with proven ability to interpret and apply regulations
  • Strong knowledge of US payroll legislation, plus familiarity with compliance in additional markets
  • Experience working closely with product and engineering teams, with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • A technical mindset-comfortable understanding system capabilities, integrations, and technological constraints
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to build trust, guide teams, and simplify complex topics by bridging between compliance, product, and technical stakeholders
  • A Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, HR, or a related field
  • (Desirable) Experience working in a SaaS, HR tech, or global environment
  • (Desirable) Familiarity with HRIS or payroll systems like ADP, Workday, or similar
  • (Desirable) Exposure to modern, all in one HR platforms
  • (Desirable) Product management experience (roadmapping, feature prioritisation, trade off discussions)
  • (Desirable) Curiosity to explore and stay ahead of evolving international payroll legislation
  • Detail oriented mindset: Ability to spot risks and ensure accuracy in a highly regulated domain

What the job involves
  • We're looking for a Payroll Product Compliance Manager with deep expertise in UK payroll regulations and strong knowledge of US and other international frameworks
  • Your primary focus will be on ensuring HiBob's Payroll UK solution is compliant, accurate, and trusted, while also supporting compliance needs across Payroll US and additional regions as our global footprint expands
  • This is a unique opportunity to combine compliance leadership with product management capabilities-ensuring HiBob's Payroll solutions (Payroll UK, Payroll US, and Payroll Hub for integrated payroll solutions) are not only compliant but also innovative, scalable, and user friendly
  • In this role, you'll act as a bridge between regulation and technology. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Legal to translate complex payroll requirements into simple, robust, and delightful product workflows
  • Own payroll compliance: Lead the monitoring, interpretation, and application of UK payroll legislation and tax regulations as your primary focus, while also supporting US and other international compliance requirements
  • Translate regulations into product features: Partner with Product and R&D to transform complex compliance needs into user friendly solutions aligned with our roadmap
  • Champion the product process: Work across the full product lifecycle, balancing trade offs, dependencies, and prioritisation within the SDLC
  • Bring regulations to life: Translate payroll rules into clear, actionable product features that deliver both compliance and excellent user experience
  • Be the go to expert: Serve as subject matter expert for UK payroll compliance and provide broader guidance across US and international markets
  • Collaborate across functions: Work with Product, R&D, Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and other teams to keep customers informed about updates and changes
  • Guide and document: Create clear documentation and explain the "why" behind compliance strategies to empower internal teams
  • Drive process improvement: Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and evolve compliance processes
