Your new role As Payroll Manager, you will take ownership of payroll operations, acting as the key point of contact for payroll activity while working closely with internal stakeholders and the external payroll provider.
You will oversee the delivery of an accurate and timely payroll service, ensuring compliance and maintaining high service standards across a complex employee population.You will support ongoing payroll process and systems improvements, helping to streamline ways of working and enhance efficiencies.
This role requires someone who can confidently manage multiple priorities, resolve issues proactively and work with a high degree of autonomy in a demanding payroll environment.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have proven payroll management experience gained within a complex organisation.
You will possess strong technical payroll knowledge, including experience managing multiple payroll inputs, pension schemes, benefits programmes and variable payments.You will be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of payroll processes and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience working with outsourced or managed payroll services would be highly advantageous, and exposure to SD Worx would be particularly beneficial.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvement will be essential.
