Are you a payroll professional who thrives on autonomy and takes pride in getting things right first time? Butler Rose are working exclusively with a brilliant business in Warrington who are looking for a confident and experienced Payroll Manager to take full ownership of payroll operation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a standalone role where you'll be trusted to run the entire payroll function, make improvements, and truly make it your own.

What You'll Be Doing

• Running the end-to-end payroll process with accuracy and confidence
• Processing salaries, bonuses, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
• Managing starters, leavers, and all payroll changes
• Ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations, including RTI submissions
• Being the go-to expert for payroll queries across the business
• Handling pension contributions and liaising with providers
• Supporting year-end processes (P60s, P11Ds where required)
• Working closely with HR and Finance to keep everything running smoothly

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a standalone or senior payroll role
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation
• Confident using payroll systems (Sage, ADP, or similar)
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
• A proactive, self-sufficient approach
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
