The role is Full Time 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have a privileged role in connecting individuals and communities across the UK to healthcare, to employment, to education, to leisure and most importantly to each other.All of our Driving, Engineering, Clerical, Cleaning, and Managerial colleagues expect a correct days pay in return for a hard days work, so as a Payroll Clerk you will have the opportunity to really have a positive impact on peoples lives.As a Payroll Clerk, you'll be responsible for the processing of approx. 1200 employees pay on a weekly cycle.To put some more meat on the bones, the role will involve: Ensuring the timely receipt of data from Stagecoach locations, to strict deadlines Data entry into the Workday payroll system Calculation of pay associated with paid and unpaid leave such as sickness absence, annual leave, parental leave Performing accuracy checks per departmental procedure Self audit Responding in a timely manner to queries from internal and external customers. Administrative tasks associated with payrollWe've got a wish list too; Essential Previous proven payroll experience is advantageous, but not necessary as full training will be given You'll be computer-literate, with good proven knowledge and working experience of MS Excel You'll have natural customer service skills and take on tasks with a friendly and approachable manner You'll have great communication skills, both written and verbal You'll have GCSE Maths and English.
