Job Description

Payroll Assistant Manager / Manager

We are expanding our Outsourced Payroll Team and look for a highly motivated professional to manage end to end payroll operations, provide technical expertise within the tax function, and ensure the highest standards of compliance, accuracy and client service. Strong technical knowledge, people management skills and the ability to meet multiple client deadlines in a fast paced environment are essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Process payrolls for multiple clients on weekly, fortnightly and monthly schedules.
  • Coordinate the preparation of payroll data for all staff.
  • Produce payroll runs, statutory documentation and records.
  • Handle day to day client payroll and benefit queries through the designated client contact.
  • Perform additional payroll duties as required.
  • Act as subject matter expert on payroll tax matters within the Employment Tax Team.

Skills and Attributes

  • Previous payroll experience, preferably with Quantum, EuropayX and Sage Micropay.
  • 3+ years in a similar role.
  • Detailed knowledge of PAYE (including BIK) and PRSI.
  • Familiarity with ROS and EFT processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Curiosity about AI and its application to payroll.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines consistently and take ownership.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of initiative, accuracy and responsibility.
