Payroll and Pensions trainee

Payroll & Pensions Trainee - Location: Ipswich Hybrid Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: £25k. Key Responsibilities

• Support our team of specialist deliver the portfolio of end-to-end monthly payrolls
• Complete payrolls processes accurately and within agreed timescales
• Administer pension processes including Auto Enrolment, AVCs, Local Government and Teacher Pension Schemes.
• Process pension joiners, leavers, transfers, retirements, and in-service changes
• Reconcile payroll and pension data and produce accurate reports
• Liaise with pension providers, finance teams, and other stakeholders
• Support investigations into and resolve payroll and pension queries in a timely and professional manner
• Support the administration aspect of audits, compliance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

• Experience in or a strong desire to learn payroll processing and pension administration
• Excellent computer literacy skills, including all Microsoft packages.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• High attention to detail
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
