Payroll administrator

About the Role

As a Payroll Administrator, you'll take ownership of processing for stores and head office teams. You'll also get hands-on exposure to a variety of duties - from onboarding and employee record management to supporting day-to-day HR queries. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to handle end to end payroll in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll administration
  Processing starters, leavers and employee changes
  Managing statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP
  Payroll validation and reconciliation activities
  Processing payroll amendments and adjustments
  Responding to payroll queries
  Ensuring compliance with current UK payroll legislation
  Maintaining accurate payroll records
  Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and payroll projects
  Working across multiple payroll cycles and deadlines

What You'll Bring

• 3-5 years' experience within a payroll position
  Proven end-to-end payroll administration experience
  Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation
  Experience processing high volumes of payroll transactions
  Payroll reconciliation and validation experience
  Excellent attention to detail
  Strong organisational and communication skills
  Ability to work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  Desirable
  Experience working within a payroll bureau or outsourced payroll environment
  SAP payroll or SAP KeyOps experience
  CIPP qualification or payroll-related certification
