Our client, a well-established and highly regarded payroll bureau based in Blackburn, is looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join their busy and collaborative team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated payroll professional who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive environment that values continuous learning and progression.
The role is office-based initially, with hybrid working available upon successful completion of probation.
Your new role As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes for a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls
- Managing end-to-end payroll for multiple client accounts
- Calculating statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP
- Processing new starters, leavers and employee changes
- Submitting RTI reports to HMRC
- Managing pension contributions and auto-enrolment duties
- Resolving payroll queries from clients and employees
- Ensuring payroll records are maintained accurately and confidentially
- Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Supporting the wider team with payroll administration and client service activities
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous end-to-end payroll experience
- Experience working within a payroll bureau, accountancy practice, or managing multiple payrolls would be highly advantageous
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- A proactive and positive approach to work
- A genuine desire to learn, develop, and progress within your payroll career
- Experience using payroll software packages
