Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll Accountant to support the finance function, with a primary focus on inter-company accounting and payroll reconciliations.

Description

  • Prepare and process payroll reports, including tax filings and pension contributions.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end payroll processes, including reconciliations and audits.
  • Stay updated on changes to payroll legislation and ensure compliance
  • Assist in preparing and posting inter-company invoices and journals across the group.
  • Reconcile inter-company balances across multiple entities and currencies
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Support monthly inter-company close processes and ensure deadlines are met

Profile

A successful Payroll Accountant should have:

  • Strong knowledge of payroll reconciliations and inter-company accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting and finance principles.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with UK payroll legislation and tax regulations.
  • Experience or exposure to multi-currency accounting (Desirable)
  • Experience in payroll processing or reconciliation, ideally in a multinational or multi-entity (Desirable).
