Job Title: Payments Investigation AVP

Duration: 7 months, extensions likely

Location: London/Hybrid (two to three days per week in the office requirement)

Salary: £400 per day via Umbrella

Our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, is on the lookout for a proactive and detail-oriented Payments Investigation AVP to join their Customer Services Team in London. This is an exciting opportunity where you can make a real impact on the customer experience!

What You'll Do:

As the Payments Investigation AVP, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive first-class service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Timely Payment Investigations: Ensure all payment investigations are actioned within 24 hours, keeping both internal and external customers informed.
  • SAA Messaging Management: Oversee the daily management of the SAA Messaging database, allocating incoming SWIFT messages to the relevant teams.
  • SEPA Direct Debit Processing: Ensure all SEPA Direct Debits are processed in accordance with industry deadlines.
  • BACS and Standing Orders: Efficiently process BACS-related products and manage Standing Orders, ensuring timely action on all requests.
  • Customer Service Reconciliation: Handle Customer Service-related reconciliation items, ensuring outstanding items are resolved promptly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team to meet customer needs and contribute to cross-training initiatives.

What You Bring:

We're looking for a candidate who embodies the following skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of payment processing and industry architecture around SWIFT, CHAPS, Faster Payment, and SEPA (ISO20022 is desirable).
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • A self-motivated, energetic, and collaborative approach to work.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is a plus.
  • Minimum of GCSEs (A Levels desirable).
