Working Hours: Full-Time / Flexible Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Band 7 Pathologist to join the mortuary and pathology services team at Wexham Park Hospital. This role involves performing post mortems and carrying out standard mortuary duties in a busy hospital setting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality pathological examinations and contributing to the smooth running of mortuary services. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct post mortem examinations with accuracy, sensitivity, and professionalism.
• Perform standard mortuary duties, including the handling, identification, and release of deceased patients.
• Liaise with clinical teams, coroners, and families as appropriate.
• Maintain detailed and precise records of examinations and findings.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hospital policies.
• Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the pathology department.

Requirements:

• Appropriate medical qualification and full GMC registration.
• Experience working as a pathologist, preferably with post mortem experience.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high professional standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Awareness of legal and ethical considerations in pathology and mortuary work.
