Patent Attorneys Doing Litigation (PADL)EIP is seeking a patent attorney with experience or interest in patent litigation to join our award-winning team in London, handling a high-value caseload of litigation matters.
This role is within our Patent Attorneys Doing Litigation (PADL) team, which uniquely in the patent sector, offers a role that is an integral part of our litigation cases-providing technical expertise, portfolio analysis, testing, and drafting and prosecution of patents for our litigation clients.
The work will primarily involve telecoms litigation, with a significant focus on Standard Essential Patent (SEP) litigation, an area where EIP is recognized as a leading expert.
About the Litigation TeamEstablished in November 2011, our multi-award-winning patent litigation practice is highly successful and well-ranked in legal directories. Our team combines patent attorneys with experienced patent litigators, providing a comprehensive approach to case evaluation from both technical and legal perspectives.
Our cross-border team operates in the UK and Germany, enabling us to serve clients across key European jurisdictions.
Experience, Skills & QualificationsApplicants should be qualified patent attorneys with demonstrable experience in telecoms patents, preferably 3GPP and SEPs. Experience in telecoms litigation, either in a firm or in-house within the telecoms sector, is highly desirable. An academic background in telecoms or communications technology is not essential.
Ideal candidates will have been involved in relevant litigation cases and possess the following qualities:
