ABOUT THE ACADEMYCallerton Academy is new secondary school that opened in September 2021 as one of two new schools within Gosforth Group. ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking to appoint a dedicated and committed Pastoral Manager who is passionate, pro-active and innovative to join the Academy's successful Pastoral team. This new role will provide operational leadership of the pastoral system across the academy and manage the Senior Learning and Pastoral Supervisors team, with the aim of raising the aspirations/self-esteem and improving the behaviour and attendance of students so that they can achieve their full potential. The post is ideal for someone who is focussed on student emotional and academic development and who is keen to be an integral part of the many varied aspects of school life. The post requires you to be part of the school's safeguarding team, working with the DSL and Deputy DSL, and therefore this will sometimes require you to respond to sensitive and challenging situations.
Inspected in January 2024, the school was awarded a 'Good' rating by Ofsted citing that our students are well behaved and that our curriculum is highly ambitious and inclusive. We strongly recommend you read our report, which can be found here .
