Partnership Specialist, Financial Services Industry, Japan, APJ Industry Partner Specialist Team

AWS is building business with partners to meet the needs of Industry customers. We seek a leader to develop and grow business with technology and consulting partners in the Financial Services industry in Japan.

As the Japan Financial Services Industry (FSI) Partner Specialist, you will lead the Industry partner strategy and go-to-market with partners to expand, build, and grow our business together. You will be part of the Asia-Pacific and Japan Industry Partner Specialist Team.

You have a deep Financial Services industry background and/or consulting experience that enables you to engage at the CXO level with our customers and partners. You should demonstrate credibility as an industry expert, interacting with partners, enterprise customers, and sales/field teams. The role requires strong technical acumen and working knowledge of the FSI consulting services landscape. You should have a proven ability to think strategically about new business models, solutions, and partner engagement, to help build and convey compelling value propositions for AWS customers through AWS Partners. A track record of influencing innovation through partners, with prior solution build and program successes, is essential.

Minimum of 5+ years of industry experience in consulting or business development within FSI. Experience in a Line of Business (LoB) leadership role within a FSI organization is strongly preferred.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute the regional FSI Industry partner strategy to expand, build, and grow a set of regional partners with industry specialization.
  2. Be the industry thought leader, sharing insights on business trends and growth areas, including AWS-focused partner capabilities and capacity.
  3. Build and manage strategic relationships with diverse FSI-focused partner cohorts, including global and Japan SIs and ISVs, with CXO-level connections to customers and partners.
  4. Collaborate with AWS Industries and Sales teams to evangelize and implement strategic business plans with each industry partner.
  5. Work with new and existing strategic partners across global and Japan SIs and ISVs to expand AWS Industry practice by developing offerings and solutions.
  6. Drive scale by incorporating best practices and repeatable mechanisms across APJ customers.

About the team

The AWS APJ Industry Partner Specialist team is looking for experienced industry specialists to assist our partners and customers in implementing AWS services.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies influencing organizational leadership decisions
  • 6+ years of experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements
  • Industry expertise in Financial Services (Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, Payments)
  • Strong communication skills, effective across internal and external organizations
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
  • Experience negotiating complex legal agreements
  • 10+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, or program/product management
