We are currently recruiting a Part-Time/Full-time Senior Speech and Language Therapist for a hospital in Dublin .

Contract:Permanent, full-time/Part-Time

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.

Develop, implement, and review individualized, evidence-based therapy and intervention plans in line with local policies and professional guidelines.

Deliver high-quality therapy sessions in both individual and group settings, adjusting interventions based on client progress and clinical outcomes.

Monitor, evaluate, and maintain accurate documentation of assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, clinical notes, and relevant communications in accordance with departmental standards.

Communicate assessment findings and clinical recommendations clearly to service users, families, caregivers, and relevant healthcare professionals.

Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to support holistic care planning, complex case management, and capacity assessments where required.

Exercise sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills when managing complex cases.

Provide clinical leadership by supporting and supervising staff, prioritising workloads, and contributing to the effective day-to-day running of the service.

Participate in practice education by supporting student therapists and engaging in training, supervision, teaching, and continuous professional development activities.

Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives, including audit, policy development, performance reviews, equipment management, and service planning within designated areas.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

Registered with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist in Ireland.

Dysphagia qualification accredited by Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT) or an equivalent recognised standard.

Minimum three years' full-time post-qualification clinical experience working with adult populations.

At least one year's experience supporting adults with acquired disorders.

Demonstrated clinical competence in the assessment and management of adults presenting with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties.

Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and interventions relevant to adult practice.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.

A compassionate, patient-centred approach to care.

Experience within a neuro-disability or adult mental health setting is highly desirable
