Part Time Teaching Assistant

Salary: £93-£110 per day (pro rata, dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Fixed-term until October half-term (initially)

Connex Education is working in partnership with the Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust to recruit a part-time SEND Teaching Assistants to join a dedicated support team from September 2026.

We are seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who is looking for 1-5 days per week to work in local primary schools.

The roles vary in one-to-one, small groups and general TA work.

With roles starting as soon as possible - daily, short and long term positions becoming available.

• Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
• Deliver small-group and individual interventions where required.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team to support learning across different classes.
• Promote pupils' confidence, independence and engagement in the classroom.
• Support pupils' communication, emotional wellbeing and social development.
• Adapt support strategies to meet individual learning needs.
• Contribute to creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Previous experience supporting children or young people, particularly those with SEND.
• Experience working with pupils with additional needs is essential.
• Teaching Assistant qualifications are welcomed but not essential.
• A patient, positive and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
