Part Time DT Teacher

Rikama Education Ltd. are working with a welcoming and well resourced SEND school in Bexley that are looking to appoint a part time Design Technology Teacher to join their team from September on a temp to perm basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging, practical learning experiences and making a real difference to the lives of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.

About the Role

The popular school are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable DT teacher who can teach Product Design to KS3 students, delivering creative, hands on lessons that inspire confidence, develop practical skills, and encourage independence. The successful candidate will work 3 days per week and will have experience of adapting lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs within an SEND environment.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• A specialism in Product Design.
• Experience teaching in an SEND setting, either at primary or secondary level.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated practical lessons.
• A genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEND.
• Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing, patient approach.
