DBASS is seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant to join their experienced team in Ashbourne, Co Meath. This full-time role offers hybrid working, hands-on client experience, and strong career progression. Ideal for candidates with 2+years' practice experience and a passion for delivering quality financial services.

Reports To: Accounts Services Manager

Department: Accounts

Hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm Mon to Thurs & 8.30am to 2.30pm on Fridays. (Remote days, Mondays and Fridays)

Type: Permanent, full time

Special Requirements: Must have at least two year of general accounts preparation experience

General Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of year end non-audit company accounts and working papers to review stage
  • Ability to reconcile balance sheet items including VAT, Payroll, leases, hire purchases and fixed assets
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and familiarity of posting journals onto accounting software
  • Assist with the preparation of management accounts
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements in line with agreed deadlines, ability to follow checklists, procedures and process requirements
  • Assist with year-end close out and year end journals
  • Preparation of Corporation Tax Returns
  • Liaising with clients - confident in dealing with clients over the phone and through written correspondence
  • Assisting manager on special client assignments
Candidate Qualities:
  • Minimum 2 plus years general accounting practice experience
  • Results orientated
  • Excellent technical abilities
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to perform a hands on role
  • Excellent communication and customer care skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skillsli>Excellent written and spoken English
  • Ability to work on own initiative
Technical Expertise:
  • CCH Accounts Production
  • Excel (Intermediate/Advanced preferable)
  • Surf, Xero and Sage Line 50 (most common client accounting system)
