Paraplanning Manager

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanning Manager to join a successful and growing independent, employee-owned wealth management and financial planning business.
This is a key role combining team leadership, technical paraplanning and operational responsibility. You'll manage and develop a small team of Paraplanners while remaining hands-on with complex technical cases and report writing.
You'll work closely with Financial Planners, compliance, operations and the wider management team, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the development of the paraplanning function.
Key Responsibilities
- Line manage and develop the paraplanning team, including 1-to-1s and appraisals
- Allocate and oversee workflow, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team
- Carry out quality assurance reviews and audits
- Chair paraplanning team meetings and contribute to wider operations meetings
- Work with senior management to improve processes and support business strategy
- Liaise with compliance, Financial Planners and operations on technical and regulatory matters
- Remain hands-on with technical paraplanning, including client analysis, research and suitability report writing
- Support Financial Planners with complex cases and selected client reviews
- Keep up to date with developments across investments, pensions and financial planning
About You
We're looking for an experienced Paraplanning Manager with strong technical knowledge and proven people-management experience.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous paraplanning experience
- Level 4 diploma qualified
- Previous experience managing a team of Paraplanners
- Strong knowledge of investments, pensions and financial planning
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a genuine interest in developing people
