Job Description

We're growing and looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join a highly regarded, award-winning financial planning firm.

What this role actually is

This isn't a traditional back-office paraplanning position. If you're looking for a role focused solely on report writing and administration, this may not be the right fit.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical side of financial planning and engaging directly with clients. You'll attend client meetings, help manage a portfolio of clients, build long-term relationships, and become a trusted technical expert within the business.

Working closely with Financial Planners, you'll contribute to complex planning strategies, prepare suitability reports, conduct portfolio reviews, and ensure clients receive an exceptional level of service throughout their journey.

What we're looking for
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within financial planning or paraplanning
  • Level 4 Diploma qualified as a minimum
  • Working towards Chartered status or already Chartered would be advantageous
  • Experience working with high-net-worth and complex client cases
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and holistic financial planning
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Proactive, organised and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
What's on offer
  • £55,000 - £65,000 basic salary
  • Up to 5% matched pension contribution
  • Up to 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Hybrid working
  • Core working hours of 10am - 4pm
  • Income protection and life assurance (4x salary)
  • Private medical insurance after 2 years' service
  • Enhanced sick pay
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity benefits
  • Paid study leave and full exam support
  • Three paid charity days per year
  • Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Free breakfast and on-site parking
  • Regular team events
  • Access to counselling support and Calm app subscription
About the business

Our client is an award-winning, independent financial planning firm with ambitious growth plans and a strong reputation for developing its people. They have built a collaborative, supportive culture where employees are encouraged to progress their careers, expand their technical expertise and deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.

If you're looking for a role where you can combine technical excellence with meaningful client interaction, we'd love to hear from you.
