Listening Post is seeking three paid counsellors for nine month fixed term contracts, with part time variable hours.

Counselling at Listening Post is primarily delivered by volunteer counsellors, who are integral to our service and help shape the support we provide. As we continue to expand our paid counselling provision, we are seeking three experienced Counsellors to join our growing team. These roles will be based at the following centres:

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will be skilled in working with clients who have been identified as needing an experienced counsellor.

Job Specification

Your role will be to work alongside a team of Volunteer Counsellors to provide a professional counselling service for Listening Post clients who have been assessed as needing an experienced Counsellor.

You will be assisting the Clinical Manager and Clinical Management Team in ensuring that the counselling which takes place within Listening Post is safe, secure and professional and in line with the overall strategic aims of Listening Post.

• Supervision sessions will be arranged for you free of charge.
• A full induction is provided.
• Listening Post counsellors gain access to our full CPD programme, generally four one-day seminars and three centre meetings per year, plus additional CPD over Zoom. For our fixed term counsellors you will gain free attendance to three of these sessions a year.
