Job overviewWe seek a Paediatric Nurse prepared to take on the role of Bone Marrow Transplant Coordinator to support our nursing team. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in Blood and Bone Marrow Transplantation, leading specialized nursing practices within our dynamic and friendly Haematology and Paediatric Bone Marrow Unit. You will join a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality care to children with haematology conditions requiring transplant.
We encourage professional development in assessment, management, and leadership. Support includes Leadership Courses, MSc modules in the Presenting Child, and Non-Medical Prescribing, where appropriate. We are committed to safety and quality, offering opportunities to contribute to service improvement projects and multidisciplinary team competence. Main duties of the job- Coordinate pre- and post-stem cell transplant care, managing a caseload of recipients and donors, ensuring high-quality, family-centered care.
- Assist the Lead Consultant for the Children's Stem Cell Transplant Service, CNS for children's Haematology, General Manager, and Service Manager in strategic and financial planning, helping meet financial and performance targets.
- Promote, facilitate, and participate in research, audit, and education within the Children's Stem Cell Service to support the AHSC vision of world-class care and excellence.

Person specification Education & Qualifications- Registered Nurse, RN Child / RSCN
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience; Recognised teaching/assessing qualification
- Recognised leadership qualification or equivalent experience
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Proven leadership skills through team management experience
- Commitment to improving patient services and achieving performance goals
