Outreach Enhanced Recovery Worker

Norfolk and Waveney Mind is excited to launch our new Outreach Enhanced Recovery Worker Service. We are looking for passionate individuals to join us in our mission "no one should have to face a mental health problem alone".

We have 13 opportunities available across Norfolk and Waveney, including:

• 3 Full-Time posts (37.5 hours per week) / 10 Part-Time posts (22.5 hours per week)
• Work Pattern: Full Time - Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:00PM / Part Time 22.5 hours - 3 days per week, to be discussed at interview.
• Contract: Fixed term contract until 31st August 2027
• Starting salary: £25,390 per annum, rising to £26,206 after probation. Salary will be pro rata for part time hours
• Locations: 1 Full-Time post / 1 Part Time post; 1 Full-Time post / 2 Part Time posts; 1 Full-Time post / 2 Part Time posts; 2 Part Time posts; 3 Part Time posts

You will be required to travel to other locations where necessary. The role will include lone-working within with community and/or other appropriate community venues. Due to the nature of the role, a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are essential. Business insurance is also required. Mileage is reimbursed at 45p per mile for cars, after deducting the mileage between your home and work base.

As an Outreach Enhanced Recovery Worker (OERW), you will provide community-based emotional wellbeing and resilience support to people experiencing poor mental health who may be unable or unlikely to access GP-based or statutory mental health services.

What will you do in your role?

• Assessment, triage and service access
• Emotional wellbeing and resilience support
• Recovery planning and brief interventions
• Community engagement and partnership working
• Risk assessment, safeguarding and lone working
• Accurate record keeping and outcome monitoring
• Service development and continuous improvement

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering up to six recovery-focused support sessions per person.
• Completing triage, risk assessments and safety screening.
• Supporting individuals to access health, social care and community-based services.
• Maintaining accurate and timely case records.
• Administering and recording outcome measures, including Dialog+.
• Working collaboratively with partners to improve outcomes for service users.
• Contributing to contractual targets, quality standards and service development.

We are seeking individuals who are:

• Passionate about improving mental health and wellbeing.
• Skilled at building positive, trusting relationships.
• Able to work independently within the community.
• Confident in assessing need, managing risk and safeguarding concerns.
• Committed to recovery-focused and person-centred approaches.
• Experienced in supporting people with mental health or social wellbeing needs.
• Experience of working within mental health, community, social care, voluntary sector or related services would be advantageous.
