Are you passionate about the outdoors and motivated to make a genuine difference in young people's lives? We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Outdoor Education Teacher (Unqualified) to inspire, engage and support pupils through practical, hands?on learning experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives outside the traditional classroom and enjoys bringing learning to life through outdoor activities, while supporting children and young people with special educational needs (SEN).
The RoleYou will lead the delivery of high quality outdoor learning experiences that promote confidence, independence and teamwork. Your work will play a vital part in both the academic and personal development of our pupils.
You will:- Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging outdoor education sessions
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress
- Support children with a range of SEN needs
- Contribute to a broad and balanced curriculum, including teaching other subjects where required
- Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Use local outdoor environments and facilities to enrich learning
- Support pupils to develop life skills, resilience and independence
- A genuine passion for outdoor learning
- Experience working with children or young people (ideally with SEN)
- Strong understanding of health & safety and risk assessment in outdoor settings
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive activities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
