Job Ref: MS-CON S5. Location: Churchill Hospital, Oxford. Grade: NHS Medical & Dental Consultant. Contract: Permanent (N/A). Hours: Full-time - 10 sessions per week (10PA). Salary: £109,725 - £145,478 per annum. Closing date: 18/05/:59.

Main Responsibilities- Act as the core member of the Head & Neck multidisciplinary team, providing ablative and reconstructive care for head & neck cancer patients.
- Support the general OMFS workload, including on call service, outpatient clinics, and supervise junior staff.
- Participate in teaching, research and clinical governance activities, and collaborate with colleagues across specialties.
- Contribute to service development, risk management and ensure the Trust's values of compassionate excellence are upheld.
- Maintain good communication with general practitioners, salaried dental services and allied health care practitioners.
- Take an active role in audit, morbidity and mortality meetings, data protection, and clinical governance.
- Supervise specialist registrars and ensure good clinical practice and continued professional development.
- Eligible for full registration with the GMC and on the specialist register, or confirmed CCT date within 6 months of the date of AAC.
- Registration with the GDC.
- Successful completion of an SAC approved OMFS training programme.
- Training in cleft/alveolar bone graft.
- Evidence of understanding and participation in audit and governance.
- Understanding of clinical risk management.
- Evidence of involvement in management and leadership practices.
- Experience of postgraduate and undergraduate teaching.
- Publication in peer reviewed journals.
- Evidence of management training.
- Ability to work within a team and independently.
- Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English.
- Full driving licence.
