Oracle EBS/Oracle DBA - Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Oracle E-business Suite (EBS)/Oracle Database Administrator to support a major Oracle EBS upgrade and remediation programme.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS 12.2.8 and Oracle Database 19c, with proven expertise in upgrades, patching, cloning, migrations, high availability and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end Oracle EBS 12.2.8 upgrade and remediation activities across non-production and production environments.
• Perform Oracle EBS and Oracle Database patching, upgrades, cloning, migrations and environment refreshes.
• Administer and support Oracle Database 19c, including patching, upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Manage and support Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) and Grid Infrastructure.
• Support Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and Oracle Data Guard configurations.
• Plan and execute upgrade and migration strategies while minimising risk and service disruption.
• Undertake performance tuning and troubleshooting across database and Middleware layers.
• Support backup and recovery activities using Oracle RMAN.
• Raise, manage and progress Oracle Support Service Requests (SRs) through to resolution.
• Produce technical documentation, implementation plans, rollback procedures and operational runbooks.
• Work within controlled and secure environments, adhering to strict governance and change-management requirements.
• Collaborate with application, database, Middleware, infrastructure and cloud teams throughout upgrade and remediation activities.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle E-business Suite 12.2.8/12.2.x.
• Proven experience delivering Oracle EBS upgrade and remediation engagements.
• Strong Oracle Database Administration (19c) experience.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database patching and upgrades.
• Strong experience with Oracle ASM and Grid Infrastructure.
• Experience with Oracle TDE and Data Guard.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end upgrades across non-production and production environments.
• Strong experience with patching, cloning and migration strategies.
• Strong Linux/Unix experience.
• Experience with database and Middleware performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience raising and managing Oracle Support SRs and coordinating with Oracle Support.
• Good understanding of backup and recovery using RMAN.
• Ability to work effectively within secure, controlled and highly governed environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with backup, recovery and high availability within AWS environments.
• Exposure to Oracle SOA Suite.
• Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server (WLS) administration and upgrades.
• Exposure to Oracle IDCS cloud services and EBS Asserter authentication.
• Familiarity with ITIL change, release and incident management processes.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a technically strong, hands-on Oracle specialist with previous experience delivering complex Oracle EBS upgrade/remediation programmes.

You should be comfortable owning technical activities from planning and preparation through implementation, troubleshooting, validation and production deployment.
