Oracle DBA - Contract (6 months)

Location: Knaresborough (1-2 days onsite per week)/Will consider Remote Candidates
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential 6-month extension)
Rate: Inside Day rate

Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to support and maintain Oracle database environments on a 6-month contract. The role will involve day-to-day DBA activities, performance tuning, and ensuring availability, security, and reliability of databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administration and support of Oracle databases (installation, configuration, upgrades)

• Performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting

• Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery support

• Ensuring database security, patching, and compliance

• Supporting production and non-production environments

• Working closely with infrastructure and application teams

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as an Oracle DBA

• Strong knowledge of Oracle database administration and performance tuning

• Experience with backup and recovery (eg RMAN)

• Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues

• Comfortable working in a hybrid onsite/remote setup
