About The Role:
Reporting to the Account Director and working as part of the senior management team within the contract.
The role involves leading, organizing, and delegating duties for a team of Assistant Managers. Providing management reports to the Account Director on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis, ensuring the smooth operation of the contract. Maintaining financial boundaries within contract guidelines, offering savings and efficiencies without compromising service quality, and adhering to SLAs and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attending client meetings - monthly soft services, KPI reviews, All Hands Calls on Teams, and face-to-face meetings with regional and facility managers.
- Compiling rotas for maximum coverage of the airport and site, including flexibility for reactive calls.
- Review weekly labour budgets with area managers and report discrepancies to the Account Director.
- Ensuring health and safety compliance, conducting SSI audits, and investigating incidents or accidents, especially if RIDDOR reportable.
- Fostering long-term account sustainability and developing strong client relationships while providing optimal service.
- Focusing on continuous improvement and innovation to meet client needs.
- Managing a complex business with knowledge of cleaning services, business opportunities, and people skills.
- Understanding financials from both client and customer perspectives to ensure budget delivery and identify business opportunities.
- Liaising with subcontractors, ensuring adherence to SLAs and KPIs, and delivering services at contractual prices.
- Leading operationally to ensure contracted services meet high standards and contractual obligations.
- Managing operating costs and overseeing the operations team, including approval of expenditures.
- Providing regular financial reports and managing management information for client reports.
- Monitoring site hours and investigating anomalies.
- Covering for absences of Area Managers, including site audits.
- Compiling costings for Compensation Events and managing the process to conclusion.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BICS trained
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, SharePoint, Office 365
- Full driving license
- Ability to complete vetting for 5 years and obtain Blue airport pass
- Experience in delivering soft services to large clients
- Proven management experience across multiple sites and stakeholders
- Experience in senior operational management, leadership, and service delivery
- Track record in safety, quality, time, and cost standards
- Financial management experience and commercial acumen
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle conflicts and conflicting priorities
