Loom Talent are exclusively supporting a new client with the recruitment of an Operations Manager at one of their Depots in West Sussex.

Overview

The role of Operations Manager is a newly created position to support the General Manager and to aid the continuous improvement of service delivery from the site. Our client has reported significant growth over the last 12 months the role offers the realistic opportunity for career progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and support warehouse operations, with a strong focus on stock control and supply chain management
• Carry out and manage PI (Perpetual Inventory) checks
• People management across warehouse and logistics teams
• Lead and implement process improvements and change initiatives
• Support health and safety standards across the operation
• Provide awareness (though minimal involvement) of contract operations
• Serve as the key successor and substitute to the General Manager as required

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Background as an Operations Manager or Warehouse Manager, with understanding of stock control and supply chain processes
• Experience in managing and developing people
• Familiarity with final mile logistics
• A hands-on and adaptable approach, with a view to stepping back from day-to-day operations once processes are embedded
• Strong focus on process improvement and the continuous development of people
• Knowledge of Health & Safety standards
• Experience in managing logistics and warehouse teams in a fast-paced environment
• Living in and able to commute across West Sussex

Whats on offer

• Salary: £45,000 + Package
• Working pattern: Monday to Friday
