Actively seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead high-profile, technically complex construction projects from conception to completion. This is a pivotal leadership role for a well known Principal Contractor whos name alone peaks interest. The role offers the opportunity to work with some of the most prestigious clients and deliver award-winning buildings across London & the South East.

This Principal Contractor prides themselves on delivering excellent in Construction through innovation, collaboration and craftsmanship across a portfolio of different sectors including commercial, high end residential, heritage and sports facilities. With each scheme being build with integrity and attention to detail.

About your role

As the Operations Director you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic delivery of complex construction projects. You will be overseeing every phase of planning, execution, and handover. Leading multidisciplinary teams, manage stakeholder relationships and ensure delivery on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of construction projects from preconstruction through to completion. Two stage tender experience is a a necessity for this role.
  • Develop and implement project strategies, programmes and risk plans
  • Build and maintain strong client and consultant relationships
  • Ensure project compliance with heatlh, safety and environmental standards
  • Manage project budgets, contracts and commercial performance
  • Mentor and develop project teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience in delivering complex construction projects between £20m - £60million
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (JCT, NEC and so on)
  • Degree qualified in Construction or Engineering is desirable
  • Chartered Status (CIOB, RICS)
