Operations & Supply Chain Manager

Our client is looking for an Operations & Supply Chain Manager to join their growing business in Bracknell. As Operations Manager, you will play a key role in leading the operational and logistics functions of this ecommerce business. You will be responsible for managing, optimising and continuously improving the end-to-end supply chain, from supplier and freight forwarder through to warehouse, final-mile delivery and the customer.
What you'll be doingThe role of Operations & Supply Chain Manager has overall responsibility for inventory management, order fulfilment, supply chain planning, inbound freight, warehousing, delivery performance and returns across multiple warehouse locations and logistics partners.
Working closely with the Merchandising, Product, Finance, and Customer Care teams, you will ensure that operational processes are efficient, commercially effective and capable of supporting the continued growth and scalability of the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:- Managing end-to-end order fulfilment, warehousing and shipping logistics across multiple locations and third-party partners
- Overseeing inventory planning, stock levels and supply chain activity, working closely with Merchandising to forecast stock and dispatch volumes
- Building strong relationships with third-party logistics partners, reviewing performance against agreed service levels, KPIs and contractual requirements
- Managing inbound freight and working with freight forwarders, including negotiating shipping rates and exploring new suppliers and cost saving opportunities
- Monitoring website order processing and operational performance through NetSuite, Sigma and other systems, resolving bottlenecks and identifying risks or opportunities for improvement
- Managing operational and logistics budgets, monitoring costs, investigating variances and taking appropriate action
- Taking ownership of deliveries and installations for key customers and trade partners, including tracking dispatched orders and resolving issues
- Overseeing stock accuracy, returns and warehouse processes, including investigating discrepancies and coordinating annual stock checks and quarterly PI checks
- Working closely with Customer Care, Product, Finance and other teams to ensure a smooth and efficient customer journey
- Leading and developing the Supply Chain team, including regular one-to-ones, setting objectives and supporting performance and development
- Extensive experience in logistics, supply chain or operations within an ecommerce, retail or direct-to consumer business
- Strong working knowledge of NetSuite, including inventory management, order processing, stock adjustments and operational reporting
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and leadership abilities
- In depth demonstrable knowledge of the processes required to import goods from the Far East (Forwarders, Customs etc.)
- Working with 3rd party warehouse providers
- Strong Microsoft Office skills with demonstrable ability to use Word, Outlook and Excel
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, coupled with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and negotiating skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
- Able to work under pressure
- Ability to lead and influence others.
- Capable of embracing the challenges of working in a small but rapidly growing company environment

About the hours and rewardsThis is a full time position working Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm, primarily from our client's Bracknell office with one flexible day working from home. You'll receive:
- £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
