Operational Support Officer - Liverpool
Full-Time Temporary Role (3 months, potential extension)
£12.71 per hour Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm

Our client, a reputable organisation within Her Majesty's Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS), is hiring for a dedicated Operational Support Officer to join their team in Liverpool. This vital role supports the smooth operation of courts and tribunals, ensuring justice is delivered efficiently and professionally.

What you'll be doing
  • Acting as the first point of contact for court users, judicial officers, and partner agencies, providing exceptional customer service both in person and via digital channels.
  • Assisting with a variety of administrative and operational tasks, including facilitating hearings across HMCTS areas.
  • Managing enquiries, resolving issues promptly to prevent delays, and supporting remote hearings through Cloud Video Platform (CVP) where needed.
  • Maintaining accurate records, supporting case flow, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service in a busy environment.
  • Working closely with colleagues, stakeholders, and judicial office holders to support operational delivery and uphold high standards of service.
What you'll bring
  • Strong customer service skills with confidence in engaging with the public, including vulnerable individuals.
  • Calm, professional demeanour in challenging or sensitive situations.
  • Excellent administrative skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Teams.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt to digital tools and work collaboratively across teams.
Additional details
  • Location: Liverpool (accessible by bus, train, or car)
  • Contract: 3 months with potential extension
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
  • Pay rate: £12.71 per hour
