Operational Resilience Specialist

Location: London only. The successful candidate's contractual location will be London; other locations will not be considered.
Role OverviewWe are recruiting for an Operational Resilience Specialist to join a small, high impact team. The role involves delivering business critical regulatory objectives, working closely with senior leaders, accountable executives and SMF24 stakeholders across the Business Unit.
Responsibilities- Design and implement the business and operational resilience strategy.
- Ensure resilience is embedded by design across Aviva Investors.
- Provide oversight and input to activities delivered by Group Operational Resilience.
- Respond to incidents, providing effective "in the moment" support and drive recovery & remediation actions.
- Run testing exercises of all types of operational dependencies.
- Support the implementation and ongoing coordination of the Business Continuity and Crisis Management framework.
- Identify improvement opportunities and provide constructive challenge.
- Embed a "resilience by design" mindset across the business.
- Deliver operational resilience strategy through effective governance and risk frameworks.
- Report resilience insights to risk committees and governance forums.
- Degree/MBA qualified plus recognised industry professional qualifications (e.g., CBI or DRII).
- Detailed knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and industry practice (UK FCA/PRA Operational Resilience Regulation, ISO IEC 22301, EU DORA, Singapore MAS).
- Experience in IT/DR technical knowledge, running crisis simulated exercises and joint 3rd/4th party exercises.
- Experience of working with industry standards and best practice in governance.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and a risk based mindset.
- Proven problem solving track record.
- Experience in a buy/sell side financial services environment is desirable.
