Customs Specialist - Operational Control & Compliance

Location: Ballycoolin, Ireland (On-site across 4 warehouses)

Mon-Fri 37.5 hours per week

We're seeking a Customs Specialist - Operational Control & Compliance to join our Logistics team, supporting a key client across four warehouse locations in Ballycoolin. This is a highly visible, hands on role focused on ensuring operational accuracy, customs compliance, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Customs Compliance Manager (Ireland), you'll play a critical role in maintaining AEO standards, driving daily accuracy across shipment movements, and acting as a key link between operations, customs teams, and regulatory authorities.

What will you be doing?
  • Oversee end to end shipment and customs activities across four warehouse sites
  • Monitor daily operations, identifying errors and ensuring timely resolution
  • Produce and manage daily warehouse reporting to ensure shipment location accuracy
  • Conduct audits and compliance checks on documentation, declarations, and stock movements
  • Partner with Operations and Brokerage teams to ensure full regulatory and AEO compliance
  • Support monthly Revenue reporting, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness
  • Act as a key contact during Revenue (customs authority) visits
  • Identify recurring issues and drive root cause analysis and process improvements
  • Support customs projects, system improvements, and onboarding activities
About You
  • Experience in customs and/or logistics operations
  • Strong knowledge of customs processes and compliance requirements
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, organised, and comfortable working across multiple sites
  • Full driver's licence
  • Leaving certificate or equivalent
