We are looking for someone to join as an Operational Business Support Administrator in our Operational Support Department at Cardiff Bay, 37 hours per week.

About the team/Department you will be joining:

The Operational Support Unit delivers invaluable support to the front line policing teams. We carry out a wide range of functions including support relating to Human Resources, Finance/Budgets, Health and Safety, Compliance, Evidential Property Management and general administrative functions.

About the role and your key responsibilities:

The role is very dynamic and varied and requires someone who is organised, a good communicator and has a keen eye for accuracy and detail. A good working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook is required.

In a multi functional environment, the role of Administrator will involve:

  • Assisting the Team Leaders with tasks delegated to the team - these can be practical/hands on and computer based tasks
  • Travelling to stations within the Basic Command Unit to assist colleagues in tasks
  • Processing and transferring evidential property within our Stores
  • Navigating and recording information on police specific systems
What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

Must be keen, enthusiastic and have previous experience of working in an administrative role and as part of a team.

Essential Skills for the role:

Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications.

Must show attention to detail and accuracy.

Must adapt to fluctuating workloads.

Must be able to work as a member of a team, encouraging and motivating others.

Must be receptive and respond to new procedures.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to RV Vetting.
